Beginning on Dec. 1, Hakozaki-gu Shrine in Fukuoka City welcomes visitors of ‘saisaki-mode,’ the earlier visits, to wish good luck in 2022. Good luck charms and other items to celebrate the new year are already available, as well as new-year prayers by the shrine guji (priest.)
