Tuesday was a sad day for Fukuoka’s hometown baseball team and fans, as Softbank Hawks’ team captain Hiroki Kokubo announced his retirement from baseball. The professional baseball player has seen a long and successful career. He said he decided to retire after reaching the limit of his physical strength.
