Heavy Rain Warning For Fukuoka And Saga

The Japan Meteorological Agency warns of possible linear rainbands forming over Fukuoka and Saga prefectures through the evening of June 10, increasing the risk of landslides and flooding. Since early morning, torrential rainfall has been recorded, with totals reaching 200 mm in Kurume’s Mt. Mino and 187 mm in Ureshino, Saga. Forecasts project up to 120 mm of rain in Fukuoka and 100 mm in Saga by noon on June 11. Several flood and landslide warnings are already in effect.
