This all-boys school has given Fukuoka two reasons to celebrate! On Jan. 10 (Sun.), the school’s volleyball team won the All Japan High School Volleyball Championships for the second year in a row; the volleyball team received support from approximately 250 members of the soccer team, who attended to cheer for them. The next day, Higashi Fukuoka High School’s soccer team won the 94th All Japan High School Soccer Tournament. This is the third national high school championship that the soccer team has won in a row; they played six games, scoring 14 goals, and only letting in one goal.
