According to a report released on Nov. 18 by the Council for Cultural Affairs to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, one historic site and nine locations in Fukuoka Prefecture will be registered as tangible cultural properties. Hikosan – one of Japan’s holy mountains – was selected as the historical site. Eight properties in Itoshima City including Kabashima Residence and one in Okawa City were selected as tangible cultural properties.
