A long-standing ryokan in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture, has reopened as a modern resort hotel under the name “Oncri Karatsu.” Operated by Fukuoka-based C&G Value Design, the facility features 24 all-oceanview rooms and is located near Niji-no-Matsubara, just a nine-minute walk from JR Hamasaki Station. The renovation is part of the company’s “Oncri” brand, following a similar project in Furuyu Onsen. With a concept of “peaceful views over Karatsu Bay,” the hotel offers rooms starting at ¥23,000 per person for double occupancy, and includes sushi-focused meals using fresh local ingredients. Amenities include a public bath, outdoor pool, terrace café, and banquet space.
