HKT48 Theater to Move to Nishitetsu Hall

HKT48, one of Kyushu’s best-known all-female idol groups, is moving from Hawks Town Mall to Nishitetsu Hall (2 Tenjin, Chuo-ku). The Hawks Town Mall theater will close on Mar. 31, opening in its new location on Apr. 28. The move was announced on Feb. 23 during the group’s spring tour, when the HKT48 girls were given the news for the first time on stage; Chihiro Anai (captain of team H) commented, “It’s right in the middle of Fukuoka!”, with another HKT48 member, Rino Sashihara, saying, “It’s like moving to Shibuya!” Nishitetsu Hall is on the 6th floor of Solaria Stage, and is directly connected to both Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Sta. and Nishitetsu Bus Center. The group also took the opportunity to announce upcoming tour dates in Niigata, Osaka, Nagoya and other cities. Source: Asahi Shimbun, 2/23
