Huis Ten Bosch (HTB) , the Sasebo (Nagasaki)-based theme park, has announced the purchase of an uninhabited island six km southwest of the park. HTB will spend one year developing the island (which is called Nagashima and is located in neighboring Saikai City) with the hopes of opening up new leisure facilities sometime next year. By buying parcels of land from multiple landowners late last year, HTB effectively purchased the entire island; purchase prices have not been released. Source: Mainichi Shimbun, 1/19
