Huis Ten Bosch (HTB), in Sasebo City, Nagasaki, have announced plans to build an energy saving hotel in two to three years. To assess the effectiveness of energy saving buildings, HTB will build and collect data from an energy saving house. The CEO will live in the house during the assessment period, with the construction planned for May. The hotel will likely be two stories high and have 100 rooms. Most of the power will be generated by solar panels. Some of the energy will be used to power vehicles too. The room rates will be kept low so families can enjoy them.
