Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park in Sasebo, Nagasaki, has revealed an ambitious growth strategy aiming to nearly double its annual visitors from 1.7 million to 3 million in five years. This is the company’s first major announcement since its acquisition by Hong Kong-based investment fund PAG in September 2022. At a press conference, representatives from Huis Ten Bosch and its marketing partner, Katana, outlined plans to invest tens of billions of yen in new ride-type attractions. The park, which is nearly twice the size of Tokyo Disneyland, aims to fully utilize its undeveloped areas to potentially attract up to 5 million visitors. Visitor numbers are expected to return to pre-pandemic levels by the end of September 2023, and new attractions are on track for completion by next spring. Source: NHK
