The passengers on the largest cruise ship in Asia, Voyage of the Seas, arrived at Hakata port early June 21. In a first for Japan, the immigration department relaxed the processing time for visitors from the usual five hours to 2 ½. Passengers stayed in Fukuoka till late on June 21 before departing for Nagasaki. The passengers are a huge boost to the Fukuoka economy.
