IMS Building in Tenjin Closes Permanently Today

Sadly the IMS (Inter Media Station) building in Tenjin will close permanently today. Opened in 1989 as an “information and culture transmission base” and considered a trendsetter for the city. The 14-floor complex currently spans 45,000 square meters and is home to approximately 130 tenants. After 32 years it will be demolished and rebuilt along with other “Tenjin Big Bang” redevelopments. Construction will begin in 2022.
