Itoshima Campus Gets New Art

Artwork by Yoichiro Kawaguchi, a Kyushu-native computer graphics artist and graduate of what is now Kyushu University’s School of Design, is now on display in front of the Kyushu University’s Ito Campus. The 1.4-meter-tall object, titled Ficco2007, is an eccentric look take representing on a seaspace-dwelling creature from the far future. A ceremony to welcome the artwork, the exhibition of which is supported by crowdfunding, took place on November 19, and the artist encouraged students to always work on their research projects with unconventional minds.
