Itoshima City is currently accepting applications for a “Trial Stay” program scheduled for this July~November. As of this March, the population of Itoshima was reported to have dropped to under 100,000 permanent residents. With this “Trial Stay” program, the city aims to promote the Itoshima lifestyle and attract more residents. Selected applicants can spend a 2~3 week stay in Itoshima’s Shikaka, Nijo/Keya, or Shima areas for only ¥500 rent + utilities (*offset by ¥30,000 deposit in the end). There are five periods open for the trial stays (7/19~8/3, 8/9~31, 9/6~28, 10/4~26, 11/1~23) and ten positions available.
