Local Itoshima-based photographer Sergey Kusayanagi has just completed a three-week solo exhibition in Paris. Kusayanagi showed a selection of his signature monochrome images, developed on Japanese washi-paper. His process is highly unique and results in prints that contain the type of depth one might expect from an oil painting. Kusayanagi was born in Kanagawa, and has lived an interesting life covering Miyazaki, London, and Itoshima, where he has lived for the past twenty-odd years.
