JAL Mileage Program to Combine with Nishitetsu Nimoca Card

Starting April 27, applications will be accepted for combining JAL’s mileage program with the Nishi-Nippon Railroad’s (Nishitetsu) mileage program in the new JMB nimoca card, which will be both a contactless payment card and a credit card. The new system will allow for the combination of mileage points obtained from JAL flights and those from Nishitetsu’s trains and buses. Both companies hope to issue a total of 30,000 cards. In conjunction with the card’s launch, the Nishitetsu group will offer discounts at its hotels and eating and drinking establishments.
