Foreign trainees working for small and medium businesses in Kyushu and Yamaguchi took part in a Japanese speaking contest Oct 28 in Hakata, Fukuoka. 362 applicants from Vietnam, Indonesia and China entered the contest, from which 10 finalists were picked to make a speech on Oct. 28.
