JR Kyushu Adds Remote Support for Unmanned Stations

A new support center for unmanned train stations on the JR Kyushu Ibusuki-Makurazaki Line was shown to the media. As the company increases the number of unmanned stations for the line, safety cameras and video intercoms for guest services are being introduced to eleven stations. Support and service such as ticket refunds and the issuing of delay certificates will be available thanks to staff operating the device from a remote center. Source: Sankei 02/18/2020
