Kyushu Railway Co. (JR Kyushu) will appoint Yoji Furumiya as its new President & CEO as of April 1st, 2022. The 59-year-old native of Fukuoka joined the former Japanese National Railways in 1985 and spent a significant part of his career in the railway sector of JR Kyushu after its privatization. He also took leadership in projects for Kyushu shinkansen and Seven Stars. The current CEO, Toshihiko Aoyagi, will become Chairman after serving as president for eight years. Source: Asahi / Mainichi
