Tea production in Kagoshima Prefecture topped the national ranking for the first time. According to a Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries report, Kagoshima’s tea production in 2019 reached ¥25.2 billion, surpassing Shizuoka Prefecture by ¥100 million.
