Kikuyo Town in Kumamoto Prefecture has announced plans to develop a new 25-hectare industrial park south of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) first domestic plant. The town held a landowners’ meeting to discuss the plan, which aims to support the growth of semiconductor-related industries in the area. TSMC is also building a second plant east of the first.
