On Dec. 21, Kitakyushu City Hospital Organization reported the results of the new coronavirus antibody tests conducted between July to October 2020 on local medical workers. Accordingly, 0.3% of the examinees (a total of 591, including those who work at COVID-19 treatment wards, general wards, and office sections) tested positive. The organization cited the low positive rate to reassure the public that there is no need to avoid taking necessary treatments for illnesses and diseases from the fear of becoming infected with the new coronavirus.
