Kitakyushu City To Issue SDGs Bonds

The Kitakyushu City SDGs Future Bonds would be the first such bonds issued by a local government in Japan. The city aims to sell approximately ¥10 billion bonds between September and October to organizations and individuals. Collected funds would be used for projects related to reusable energy, renovation of local elementary schools and junior high schools, and more. Source: Kitakyushu City / Yomiuri / Mainichi
