Kitakyushu City reported that a municipal nursery lost a USB drive containing personal information on 49 former pupils, including names and parents’ contact details. The USB went missing in late October after being used to prepare class schedules. No data misuse has been confirmed. The city apologized to affected families and said future records will be managed only on in-house terminals to prevent similar incidents. Source: KBC
