Kitakyushu City will sign a cooperation agreement with two JR railway companies and related organizations to support passengers stranded during disasters or major transport disruptions. The agreement covers situations in which rail services are suspended and travelers are unable to return home. Participating organizations will provide information, distribute drinking water and other supplies, and guide affected passengers to temporary accommodation facilities. Three venues, including Kitakyushu Messe and the West Japan General Exhibition Center, have been designated as reception sites. City officials said the agreement will strengthen coordination between public and private sectors. Source: TNC News / RKB News
