Kokura Castle in Kitakyushu has unveiled a new XR escape game using immersive digital technology. Developed to mark the 65th anniversary of the castle’s tower reconstruction, the attraction recreates the 1837 fire that destroyed the original castle. Participants use goggles to explore a virtual burning castle and solve six puzzles to escape. The experience includes English subtitles and is intended to appeal to international tourists as well.
