A new branding project for Kurume-ori textile was launched. A group of craftsmen and designers in the Chikugo region announced the rebranding of the traditional textile as Chikugo-ori to rejuvenate the industry. The group will jointly develop new apparel items and bring the fabric to the international textile fair in Paris within the next five years. Source: NHK
