Kyushu Denryoku Reaches Connectable Capacity

Kyushu Denryoku (Kyuden) announced that it has reached its estimated connectable capacity amounting to 1.8 million kilowatts on May 25. These connections include business operators who are still at the stage of applying for a contract, the cumulative output of wind power generators, and the fixed price purchase system of renewable energy. Kyuden is now the fourth major electricity company to reach its connectable capacity, following Chugoku Denryoku and others. As a measure to maintain balance of electricity supply and demand, any newly-submitted wind power generator will be subject to unlimited power restraint irrespective of the output scale.
