On Nov. 16, Kyushu Denryoku applied to register to enter the gas business. From Apr. 1 next year, gas sales in Japan will be deregulated and opened up to competition. Kyushu Denryoku’s Sales director said that the company plans to offer gas at a lower price than Seibu Gas. Kyushu Denryoku plans to sell gas in ten cities and nine towns including Fukuoka and Kitakyushu. Source: RKB News, Nov. 16, 2016
