The Kyushu Economic Federation sent its first study group to Mongolia on the 17th. The country has some of the world’s largest deposits of copper, molybdenum, and rare earth metals. Economic growth there is soaring due to international investment, and the Kyushu business group is looking for an opportunity to participate. Among the companies sending representatives are Kyushu Electric, Kyudenko, Toyota Motors Kyushu, and the Kyushu branch of Mitsui & Co.
