Fukuoka City-based Kyushu Electric Power has developed three types of portable electric power supply units using lithium ion battery technology. The development was conducted jointly with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The largest unit has a power output of 3 kilowatts, and is designed to be built into electromagnetic cookers for use at outdoor events.
