Kyushu Electric Power announced a new campaign starting in October to encourage the adoption of all-electric home systems, such as IH cooking heaters and EcoCute electric water heaters. This initiative targets households currently using gas or oil appliances, including those undergoing renovations. To promote this campaign, Kyushu Electric has enlisted the help of popular actor Yutaka Matsushige as the “All-Electric Image Character,” with a series of TV commercials set to air in October. Customers who purchase eligible all-electric systems between October and December will receive a ¥3,000 voucher or digital gift. Additionally, 50 customers will be selected by lottery to win a ¥30,000 voucher. Kyushu Electric will also make permanent a previously limited-time plan offering discounted electricity rates for households that switch from gas stoves to IH cooking heaters.
