Following the Japan Meteorological Agency’s alert about a possible major earthquake in the Nankai Trough, Kyushu Electric Power and its subsidiary Kyushu Electric Transmission and Distribution have established the Nankai Trough Earthquake Response Headquarters. This is the first time such a task force has been set up, aiming to prepare for potential large-scale earthquakes by confirming the whereabouts of on-site workers and communication with relevant parties.
