Kyushu Electric Power has revised its projections for both consolidated current profit and consolidated net profit downward to a five billion yen loss for the former and a three billion yen loss for the latter. They are the utility’s second downward revisions of the year. The reason cited is that the national government had the company halve the amount of its requested rate increase to take effect in the January-March quarter.
