Kyushu Electric’s CO2 Emissions Rise 40% in 2011

Kyushu Electric Power reports that its CO2 emissions in 2011 rose by 40% from the previous year to 43 million tons. That is the highest amount since 1990. The cause was the increased use of thermal power plants due to the idling of the nuclear power plants.
