Kyushu Energy Conservation Target: 10%

The government revealed its final plan for electric power consumption this summer on the premise that nuclear power plants will not be operating. The original target of a 12% cutback has been reduced to 10% due to the potential for sharing from other power generating companies. Kyushu Electric Power is one of four utilities preparing to deal with any trouble in its thermal power plants by turning off power once a day for two hours.
