The Organization for the Promotion of the Internationalization of the Kyushu Economy, consisting of Kyushu economic organizations and local governments, signed a memorandum of understanding in Hanoi with the Vietnamese government’s Ministry of Planning and Investment for economic exchange. The Kyushu group has been sending survey teams to that country for the past two years. The memorandum was signed because the group thinks economic ties between Japan and Vietnam will grow in the years ahead.
