The Fukuoka City-based Association for the Promotion of Kyushu Theme Parks released figures for admissions to parks in FY 2008 showing that the aggregate number of visitors for the 12 member parks fell by 3.8% from the previous year to 15.48 million people. They attribute the downturn to high gasoline prices in the first half of the year and the poor weather. There were overall customer declines for seven of the 12 member parks, all of which ranked number 1 through 7 in total admissions.
