Recruit’s annual survey of wedding trends for 2007 found that the total wedding expenses incurred from the yuino ceremony to the honeymoon averaged 4.21 million yen per couple in Kyushu. This was roughly the same as the national average. The survey also found that 73% of the couples received financial help from their parents. Of the 15 blocs nationwide, however, the average amount of the parental assistance in Kyushu was the second lowest.
