Animate announced an Oct. 24 opening for its expanded store on the eighth floor of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi. The anime, manga and game specialist is relocating from Fukuoka Parco, which is due to close in February 2027. The new Animate Lachic Fukuoka Tenjin has four times the floor area and 1.4 times the shelving of its predecessor, making it the chain’s largest store in Kyushu. Its new sections include character-printed lattes and iced cookies, plus a convenience-store-themed shop selling character merchandise.
