Lawson’s is accelerating the opening of its Lawson’s 100 convenience stores that offer fresh produce, starting with two in Fukuoka City at the end of this month. Focusing on Fukuoka City and Kitakyushu, they plan on opening a total of 50 by 2011. In addition to the products usually found in convenience stores, they also will serve as mini-supermarkets selling fresh produce and meat products. They hope to sell most products for about 105 yen.
