Water flooded onto the floors of Tenjin Chikagai on August 9 along the east side passage of the shopping arcade, around the Tenjin Subway Station gate. The water disappeared within an hour in the early afternoon. It is believed to have come from the demolition site of the former Fukuoka Building. The water mainly entered from the stairs leading to the outside, while some shops suffered water leakage from their ceilings. Source: Asahi Shimbun, 8/9/2019
