Fukuoka City will run a ‘Totsuzen Hajimaru (suddenly starting) Evacuation Drill” on September 1, in collaboration with Line Fukuoka. Reflecting on the nature of unexpected disasters, the drill will send out disaster notification to LINE users who register for the program in advance. Participants will follow the instruction messages and learn the evacuation process online. The program will take approximately 5 minutes and starts anytime between September 1 ~ September 6 (7:00~21:00.) This new form of disaster drill aims to keep up the citizens’ preparedness for disasters while avoiding creating crowds. Source: Fukuoka City / LINE Fukuoka
