This February, Thailand-based Lion Air began offering direct flights between Fukuoka and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport. Thai Air already offers one daily round-trip flight between Fukuoka and Suvarnabhumi Airport, but the addition of the Lion Air flight has doubled the number of daily round-trip flights, thereby improving passenger convenience while contributing to the deepening of ties between Kyushu and Thailand.
