The Kyushu Economic Research Center released its report on the overseas business expansion of Kyushu/Yamaguchi Prefecture-based companies for 2007. The survey found that the companies launched a total of 52 new enterprises overseas during that period. Though the total is roughly flat from the previous year, it is also the second straight annual decline. Roughly half of these enterprises were located in China, and 80% were in Asia.
