Local Company Establishes New Fund for Kyushu Venture Companies

Fukuoka City-based Dogan Beta, a company that funds venture companies and provides assistance to startups, has launched a new fund, Kyushu Entrepreneur Club Fund II, to fund Kyushu-based venture companies. One unique feature of this fund is that most of the investors are local companies. Dogan has already lined up 10 local companies to invest in the fund, and it will continue recruiting investors until the end of next February. The aim of the fund is not just to provide financial resources, but to encourage growth through cooperation with the investing companies. Dogan plans to manage up to ¥2 billion by making use of an investment program offered by the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation. The fund will be managed for a period of 10 years, and Dogan aims to invest in 40 companies over that time. Source: FIBA
