Man Arrested For Assaulting Elderly Woman Not Wearing a Mask On Train

A 41-year-old suspect was arrested on a JR Kagoshima Main Line train yesterday morning for hitting an older woman in the head because he was angry with her for not wearing a mask. According to the police, at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday, a man on a rapid train on the JR Kagoshima Main Line assaulted an 82-year-old woman who was also a passenger. Police arrested a 41-year-old unemployed man from Kadoma City, Osaka, at Hakata Station on suspicion of assault. According to the police, the suspect admitted the charge and stated that he was angry because she was not wearing a mask.
