Man Arrested in Kitakyushu for Drunk Driving Stolen Bicycle

A 42-year-old unemployed man has been arrested in Kitakyushu’s Yahatanishi Ward for riding a stolen bicycle while intoxicated. Police spotted him acting suspiciously around 5:30 p.m. on March 26 and stopped him for questioning after he tried to flee. A breath test revealed alcohol levels about twice the legal limit.

The man admitted to drinking four 350ml cans of beer and said he attempted to escape because he was using a stolen bicycle. Police are now investigating him on suspicion of theft in addition to the DUI charge. Source: TNC
