The Kyushu Tourism Promotion Council has produced pamphlets and CDs in English, Korean, and Chinese that include the map codes for tourist destinations used in Japanese car navigation systems. The objective is to increase the convenience of rental car use for foreign visitors to Kyushu. The system makes it easier to visit places that cover a large geographical area without addresses and telephone numbers, including mountains, rivers, and gorges.
