Marinoa City Fukuoka to Close for Redevelopment in August

Marinoa City Fukuoka, an outlet mall in Fukuoka City, will close on August 18 for redevelopment. Opened in 2000 as Kyushu’s first major outlet mall, it features around 160 stores and a 60-meter Ferris wheel, a local landmark. The decision by the operator, Fukuoka Jisho, is due to aging buildings and facilities. Future plans will be developed in collaboration with Mitsui Fudosan, known for projects like Lalaport. Details of the new facility will be announced once finalized. Source: Fukuoka Jisho / NHK
